RMT

My approach to Massage Therapy is collaborative and holistic. I blend slow myofascial release with Swedish massage, joint mobilization and rhythmic techniques to facilitate movement and relieve pain, to work with holding patterns, and to promote sleep and tissue health. I provide people of all ages, activities, and stages of healing with affirming and supportive touch informed by their personal needs and goals.

I view massage as a conversation between practitioner, their client and their client’s nervous system. I value quality of engagement over force. Bodywork needn’t be painful.

I am a graduate of the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. I have advanced certification in manual lymphatic drainage for wellness and post-surgical needs, and am a trained practitioner of the S.T.R.A.I.T. Method for rehabilitative scar release. I am a member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. I take part in regular education and training to offer my clients the best possible care and outcomes.

Origins of Dröm

While there is nothing technically Swedish about Swedish Massage Therapy, as a practitioner of Nordic descent, I’ve felt drawn to engaging my ancestral folkways in the treatment space. Following these roots has taken me to Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Iceland, where I have studied and trained in sauna rituals, plant-based massage, breath work and hydrotherapy. In 2024, I opened my Massage Therapy practice, Dröm (Swedish word for dream), to continue this healing work and to share its benefits with a wider community.

If you’d like to learn more, here is a beautiful short doc (6 mins.) about Latvian Pirts ritual traditions featuring my teacher, Māra Zutis.
